'Prince of Denmark Hill' - Adam Rowley's first short was a
critical success.
The film centres around the Hamlet Premise. Adam decided to team up
with Whatever Pictures to produce In Love/In Limbo, both as a technical
experiment and for the future of his feature script, Denmark Hill.
The
two films were shot in two days with two rolls of daylight black and
white super 16mm stock. There was one take for each shot and the titles
were shot in camera. Through Whatever Pictures relationships with SVC,
Matt Hall was brought in to punch up the edit. Richard Lannoys original
score and Dan Coles' telecine and grade gives the film the look and
feel of a good budget feature. The performance of the actors, script
and directing further the production values of what are essentially
very simple yet extremely effective films.
